Im getting a lot of freezing and i have to restart the computer...

not allways in games but i feeze alot.

my specs are in sig and i havent messed with BIOS

i have no internet yet, i was gona get a wireless card today or tommorrow...

it now freezes with 5 minutes of running.
i have no idea whats wrong, not many programs on it at all.
i just dont know
 
i took out a gig of ram and it stopped

this sucks, i wasted 100$ on a stick of ram....

oh well, when i get a nice mobo i can use it
 
Could be a bad RAM man. Test it on another computer if you have access to one. I used to have that problem myself, my computer would freeze constantly, when I wanted to change my OS it would freeze within minutes of starting the installation, didn't figure it could be the ram for a few years, stupid of me, but yep, changed the ram and it worked wonderfully, changed my OS with no problem at all.

well my dad said that there was too much ram or something like that


so i took one of them out and it stopped freezing, i suspect the motherboard or something didnt like the extra RAM.
 
Yeah, some motherboards are made to support a certain amount of memory, you should look up the specs of your motherboard and see if it supports more than a gig. If it's an old computer it's most likely it wont.
 
well its Brand New, just got it running after 3weeks of HEAVY technical difficulty....

i tell you how my first 3 weeks went

1: blown a psu, smoke EVERYWHERE
2: OS wouldnt install
3: Motherboard wopuldnt reconize anything in USB or keyboard slot
4: wouldnt boot, something changed BIOS
5: one of my 115$ gig o ram doesnt work.


they are all great parts, i just took a chance on 2gig because ometimes some hardware or programs "XP" dont like have 2 gigs.

when i get a DFI lanpart extreme ill see how it works. The mobo supports 4gig but for some reason it doesnt like it

i bought them together...

id rather put the other one behind glass that return both and wait longer before i can use this computer

i mean, you know what troubles i went through, now let me and my extra stick be

someone told me after i ordered that sometimes 2gigs of ram will give problems, lots of errors, shutdown , freezing
you know???

and the 2 gigs wasnt working very good at all.

is there something i can do tweaker?

hey, i dont have good news, i just made 5000$ on my stock i just sold!

back on topic:
is there something, "like a new mobo"
i do plan on eventually going SLI, but not anythime soon and i didnt want to geta 120$ sli board

i would go for like a DFI 220$ board
