I'm getting more RAM

Okay i have 512mb pc2700 ram at the moment and i have decided that i need at least another 512mb. I have two ram slots on my computer and need either another 512mb stick or a 1gb stick. Does anybody know anywhere that sells cheap ram either in the UK or that will ship to the UK thanx.

Hmm if you go to Pc world they sell a 1Gb stick of ram for £64.99 but thats Pc3200...I dunno if they have Pc2700.


I say go for the 1Gb stick and then you will have 1.5Gb...Whats your mobos Maximum?

I dont think your gonna find it any cheaper than that anywhere else around here because the uk are just a big rip off.

If you buy that 512Mb stick online off Pc world it will only cost £33.99 + £3.99 delivery

Try asking in the for sale/wanted section for anyone in the uk with a second hand stick of pc2700.
You might get lucky....Just a idea.

What is the difference between single and double sided RAM, except one has one side memory the other has two?
Is single side ram compatible with double side ram?

I would go for 1 gb because in the future you can upgrade it to 2 gb with less expense and it will have 1/3 more memory (that helps)

If your talking about that Generic Ebuyer i wouldnt buy it mate

Cant be very good ram .

I would stick with that PNY stick as mine has been great so far,Or that Corsair Memory stick just underneath the Generic Ebuyer should be good on that site.
