I got a toshiba nb305 for christmas and right away I tried everything out
I connected to the internet successfully at my moms house and then again at my boyfriends house later that day

But as soon as I got home with it it would no longer connect

When I try to connect instead of askng me for the security key it just tries to connect on its own and then tell me it is unable and I should turn off my router for 10 seconds and turn it back on
I tried that and it didn't help
I am connected just fine on this laptop and on other computers in the house so I don't think it's the router
My toshiba will still connect at other peoples houses

Help!!!!!

I don't do wireless networks but as nobody else had responded...... Is it possible that your home network is not broadcasting its SSID? All other devices at home have been setup and know the network is there. At other locations, they may be broadcasting their SSID which your new laptop can pick up. You can check the setting on your home router.

You could try manually connecting to the home network (Vista guide here). Once you have done it and set to connect automatically if the network is in range, that should be it.
