I'm looking for a new LCD monitor that's as easy as possible on my eyes.

If you honestly think that your monitor making "waves" is related to it refreshing 60 times per second, you should see a doctor. You may be eligible to park in handicap spaces.

All intelligent people who acquaint themselves with computers and electronics know that LCD monitors don't flicker due to refresh rates.

Ooooh, that smarts. Sorry, proof is proof. I've switched back and forth a couple times and it definitely makes a difference. My wife didn't even want to use it, when it was set at 60hz. After I changed it to 72, she asked how I fixed it. I told her I found some good advice from this computer forum where someone suggested updating the video driver and someone else mentioned trying a faster refresh rate.

Sorry if I'm not intelligent enough to understand words as well as I am able to understand what is happening right in front of my eyes, and my wife's eyes. So, suck it up "genius" and drop it.

Your monitor is a piece of crap, for the third time. Your junk's defect is not "proof" against a set-in-stone concept that everyone (except you and your fat wife) understand.

Here's a metaphor for uneducated people like you: Cars with wheels roll, right? Let's say your car has square wheels (you're supposed to compare the square wheels with your defective monitor here, are you following?). So you and your fat wife sit there with your thumbs in your butts wondering why your car won't roll, until you finally come to a conclusion based on your extensive "test": cars with wheels must not roll! I mean, your square-wheeled car has wheels, and it doesn't roll, right? Proof is proof! Even your fat wife agrees!

Yep, you figured it out, good for you.

Buy a new monitor.

You're getting funnier with each post. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

BTW, I can guarantee you that your head is much fatter than my wife. :P:P

You are starting to remind me of a 4 year old's temper tantrums. :D:D:D:D:D

Proof trumps logic any day!

Hey, how's your blood pressure doing?

no one's supposed to talk to each other like this. it's stressful. and you really went over the line calling his wife fat, fortyways:eek:

i hope it's true that refresh rate isn't related to flickering, because my acer monitor is limited to 60Hz, even after updating my graphics driver to the latest version off the nvidia site. and look at this screenshot i just made from the nvidia help document:

are they just talking about CRTs?

Maybe it makes a difference if you have analog or digital. I'm just thinking out loud. My computer is only analog. Maybe that's why it helped in my case.

nah, it shouldnt :)
they're right though, refresh rate has nothing to do with your waves (on a normal, working monitor) but as it appears, yours isnt quite right, or it's natural refresh rate is 72, and not 60 where it was, and for some reason it was put at 60.
just because yours is off the norm, doesnt make you an idiot lol... and in some strange way... makes your wife fat =p
