ceewi1 VIP Member Mar 19, 2007 #9 The Core 2 Duo is faster. If you want to stay below $300, I'd go with the E6300 previously recommended and the Gigabyte 965P-S3. It's very similar to the DS3, but without the solid state caps. A superb board at a great price.
