is it possible to upgrade the ram you have in a tablet, im looking into buying the nexux 7 7" tablet.
just wondering is this possible?

Possible and practicable are too very different things. Possible yes, practicable probably not. Effective answer = no.

No way is it possible. The manufacturer could, but even someone with circuitry skills probably wouldn't dare to. The memory is soldered to the main board, unlike everyday computers where there are just two clips..

Unless the manufacturer built the device with the ability to upgrade the RAM then, for all intents and purposes, the answer is no.

Google has a 32G model of the N7 coming out (some people have claimed they have been able to purchase them already) if you are worried about storage. I have an 8G model and that has worked great for me, I don't regret coughing up the extra $50 for the additional storage.

Why upgrade to 2GB? Even the beasty Asus Transformer Infinity only runs 1GB and it doesn't have any problems multi-tasking or running some of the highest graphic games on Android.

I don't know if android tablets are like PC with different bios, because I remember having a Dell with PC a few years back that had 2GB of memory but because of the bios it only recognized 1.6GB so it is possible if android uses different bios it may not even recognize the 2GB anyway.

That Viewsonic tablet originally was priced at $650. One of the reasons it cost that much is because it used modular components for such things as the SSD and wifi card. The modular components plug into sockets or slots which makes them much easier to replace or upgrade. In order to get the N7 cost down to $200, ASUS used chips surface mounted to the motherboard for the RAM, Wifi, storage, etc... They aren't replaceable or upgradable without going to a lot of work to unsolder the surface mounted components and then remounting the new parts.

You don't need more RAM in the Nexus 7.

+1
I have 1GB of DDR3 in my TF300 and it can do anything with that,it is like having a desktop with 6 GB of memory and wanting to upgrade to 12 GB when all you do is play games, surf the web and and watch movies. Kind of silly.
