I'm ready for a RAM upgrade. I have never done this before so I have no idea what to do - I have no idea what specifications to look for or what brand name to buy. Do I need to buy from the same manufacturer? I can't even imagine the other questions I should ask. Help please!
Here's what I'm guessing is all the necessary information to do this correctly...

Manufacturer: Gigabyte technology co. LTD
Model: AWRDACPI
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ NF-CK804

Motherboard model: NFCK804
Bios: Nvidia 42302e31

Installed RAM: 511 MB
Max RAM: 16384 MB
Front side bus: 201 MHz

Size Type Speed Dimm type
A0 256 MB DIMM 200 MHz "unknown"
A1 " " " " " " " "

Is this all the necessary information? If not, what more info do I need and where do I find it? Please help, thanks!

Can anyone else find this Gigabyte motherboard specifications? I looked on Crucial.com and at Gigabyte.com and didn't find what he stated listed.

From what I found it is a socket 754 motherboard. I think it takes PC-3200 or PC-2700 184-pin memory. But I don't know if the motherboard can take 1 gigabyte memory modules or only 512 megabyte modules.

I'm finding stuff about it being an NF4 based board but not much else. The RAM it can take will be based on the CPU though because it is an A64 board.
