I'm Stumped Please Help

My cousin came over today saying he needed his computer fixed and good god he did a number to it.

Problem I'm running into is Firefox (reinstalled and made no difference) and Internet Explorer are not able to connect, yet the laptop itself says its connected to the router and I was able to browse the web no problem right up until I updated Firefox, which I thought was weird.. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about:

So, before this happened I had run Malwarebytes (log below) and it found a decent amount of stuff as expected. He also didn't have any anti-virus software on it (I tried putting AVG on, but it said Norton Internet Security is on it). Also, this Norton isn't listed anywhere except possibly in the registry somewhere as I can't find it in the programs list to uninstall it, nor does anything load up pertaining to Norton or Symantec, so I'm lost there too.. (Was going to try and download Symantec's uninstall program, but it requires you to know what version you have and I have no idea how to find that out).

Any ideas, advice, thoughts, w/e please post it. I'm hoping to get this fixed as soon as I can.

Also, ran in Safemode and it made no difference.

You're not meant to run HJT in safemode, it needs to be normal boot so it catches things running.
 
I didn't read the logs, but check the connection settings in Firefox. I think it's trying to connect through a proxy.

Also, just download THIS TOOL (CLICK ME) to uninstall Norton.

The log says it was in normal mode.

Sorry, meant to say I tried running Firefox and Internet Explorer while in Safe Mode with Networking, and they still couldn't connect.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.

Thanks for the help.

Oh and instead of the proxy error, it simply says the server cannot be found.

Pinging doesn't work either. Pinging www.google.com doesn't work and when I try to ping just the IP, ping gives me an error, code 1231.

Please download rkill.scr and run it but do not reboot your computer, then open malwarebytes, click on the update tab, click on check for updates and see if it will allow it update. If it does then rerun malwarebytes full scan and post the log.

1. I feel reallly stupid. I forgot to connect back to the router after I moved the laptop back downstairs. :o

2. rkill found a malicious process and I was able to update malwarebytes and am running a full scan as we speak.
Edit: Said process: C:\Windows\system32\dllhost.exe

3. I was slightly impatient and opened Firefox and it was able to connect finally. Still running the scan though.

Please post an uninstall list using hijackthis. Open hijackthis, click on open misc tools section, click on open uninstall manager, click on save, save the file and copy and paste it back here. You need to run the norton removal tool as voyagerfan99 as posted but lets see whats installed on your system first.

Make sure you post a fresh hijackthis log after running malwarebytes (post its log as well)

Malwarebytes is still scanning (hasn't found anything yet). Finally was able to put AVG on after running that norton uninstaller. Uninstalled the applications you listed. I need to get to bed pretty quick here for work, so I'm thinking of running it overnight and posting back when I get done with work. Unless you had some last minute thoughts.
