I have two questions:

1-What is PSP UPDATE? my friend has bought a PSP few days ago and the seller asked him if he wanted to update the PSP and he has accepted.
What are the good/bad thing about update?

2-Do you have any news about PSP? is the version 2(PSP 2) coming out?

1.) PSP update is like the updates you get for the PS3 or 360. They just update the system to work properly and it's free.

2.) I've only heard rumors and the changes are minimal. If you google PSP2, you'll get some articles.

Supposed to be a price drop at the end of summer, you're better off getting a DS though. They just released a web browser for it too.

As at the end of Q1 2007, Nintendo DS had an installed base of 38 million across the PAL region, Japan and the US compared with 20 million for Sony PSP. Nintendo has confirmed to Screen Digest that the global installed base as at the end of May 2007 is in excess of 41m. Screen Digest forecast no substantive change in respective hardware buy rates and believe that at the end of 2011, Nintendo DS will have an installed base of 112 million and PSP, 67 million.

If you do plan to get a PSP, wait until the new ones come out because supposedlt the screen is suppose to be bigger and more energy efficient.

A update will have the PSP work better and sometimes theyh will give us some new features like latly they added a visualiser to the music player.

Well the good is listed above, and the bad is you cannot emulate PSP games as the Firmware goes higher (Emulating games is dangerous so don't try it) so pretty much there are no bad things about updates.

I have no idea when PSP2 comes out, and I don't know if one will ever come out, I definatly wouldnt be interested for a long time as it will be very expencive.

I just bought a PSP, and i was worried about a new one coming out right after i buy it, but I did a lot of research online and many people believe that a PSP2 won't be coming out in 2007.
