you can't do that, because the machine is already grounded. The anode cap is what carries this charge, so if you ground the machine, then ground the anode cap you are making a direct line for it to discharge along your ground.

Does that make sense? I am not good at explaining electrical currents really.

I was talking about if the machine was unplugged... But yeah I see what your saying...
 
It has no Ram.

I discovered it last night, I opened the little door on the bottom, and there is no Ram.


How do I find out what Ram I need?

I found my original G3, this is the green one. It has Ram, boots up, just had a problem with the mouse and keyboard, they weren't getting recognized. I had plugged them in when the computer was already on.
