Hey guys, another first time builder looking for advice/suggestions. I did the research and redesigned about 6 times before I came up with this but I want some veteran hands to look it over if yall don't mind.

CPU-
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz

Mobo-
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Socket LGA 775

OS-
MS Vista Ultimate SP1 64bit

Memory-
Kingston HyperX T1 series 8GB (4x2) DDR2 1066 240 Pin Dual Channel

HD-
WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s

Vid Card-
Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256 bit PCI-E 2.0x16 XFire (x2)

DVD/CD
Sony Optiarc 24x DVD-R 8x DVD-RW (not too concerned about this)

Case-
XCLIO Windtunnel ATX Full Tower model WTBK

Extra 120mm Fan for exhaust

Power Supply-
Can't decide between these. Wouldn't mind the extra power but if the 750W is plenty then I will go with it. Advice appreciated:o
Corsair 750TX 750W
or
Corsair 850TX 850W

Also replacing the stock CPU fan with-
Artic Freezer 7 Pro 92mm

Will be using this rig mainly for MMORPGs/online gaming/movies
 
Would go for an amd rig to be truthful, because socket 775 you wont be able to upgrade, and for the price of an e8500 you can get a phenom II quadcore. Are you in the states? Where will you be buying from?
 
To go along with what these two have said, the AMD phenom line is PERFECT for a tight budget. The Phenom II 940 is only 190 bucks. I believe Maximum PC has this chip as their "top" budget CPU currently.
