important question about RAM cards

Hello,

i want to up grade my computer (laptop) RAM to 2 giga of RAM. there is a huge difference in cost for 2 RAM cards of 1 giga or 1 RAM card of 2 giga (the later is much more expensive). i wanted to know if there is a difference whether i put the 2 RAM cards of 1 giga in the 2 slots of the computer or if i put only 1 RAM card of 2 giga in 1 slot of the computer.

if so, i will be most grateful if you can detail the differences.

Hello welcome to the forum! please be sure to introduce yourself in the welcome thread and check out the rules!

I would suggest that your laptop may well not take a 2GB stick so it would be best to go for 2x1GB sticks, cheaper too :)

wats the model so I can check out if it will even support 2 gigs of ram?

thank you for your answers. my computer model is 'acer travelmate 2355NXCi' with a processor of 1.4 GHz.
