Okay, I have this hugely important question (well, not really, but I want to know)
I have an 8800 gtx 768mb video card. I hear of people buying cards in the 9000 series and wondering if 300w is enough to power it. I know that I wouldn't think of powering the 8800 gtx with 300w (maybe I'm crazy).
I'm wondering how does this year-old, but high quality video card compare to the modern video cards that have replaced the top-end 8000 series. Sure the new ones have more video memory, but how do they really compare? I'm sure that the low-end 9000 series cards don't match the 8800 gtx that was such a breakthrough card in its time, but perhaps I am wrong. Does anyone have any insight on the subject?
Thank you for your help.
