I recently ordrered the new dell dimensions 9100 with 4gb ram and 3.2 ghz pentium D Dual core processor. The queston i have is that i bought it now because i got a great deal on it but im leavin to europe and wont be back until a month later but there gonna deliver it this month so its gonna be inside my house in the box unopened for a month will there be any problems when i come back (the a/c is gonna be off so maybe the processor could get hot? live in NY) or dust or nething. :confused:
 
If it is all in the box everything should be perfectly fine, I would imagine that it sits in the box for a while at a warehouse somewhere before it has been shipped to you. You won't have to worry about the processor overheating at all no matter how hot it gets in there, it won't ever get anywhere near hot enough to cause damage. As far as dust, I'm sure everything is in plastic and will also be perfectly fine.
 
if its not in direct sunlight or thick humidity i wouldnt see a problem if its in the box... dunno i live in tx.
ive worked in the dell assembly plant and they keep it at about 70F, and they dont make em till you order em :)
 
Yeah, just store your computer in a darker place, or put a sheet over it to cover it from dust and sunlight.

Even if it sits in the sunlight all that time, it wont really matter (other than maybe fading) if the machine is off
