Impossible Acts of Hacking? (Help please, need expert opinions...)

Hi everyone,

I've been search for a tech forum for some help...
I think the best way for me to describe the problem is to sum up what has happened to me over the past few weeks...

- It all started about 5 weeks ago. My facebook and the associated hotmail account got hacked, and the other associated email accounts (school emails) got deleted from the account. I was using the same password for both accounts so I thought, okay, that was stupid.
- Tried to contact hotmail & facebook to reset account but they never replied.
- My friend received a mysterious email 2 weeks later from my own hacked hotmail account, telling him the password. So I got back into my facebook & hotmail, reset everything (password, secret answer, etc), making sure that each account had different passwords.
- However, all the photos of me were untagged, and all my friends were deleted. If this were to be done manually, it would take several hours - but it feels like they did it in an instant.

- I changed my associated email to Gmail on facebook and thought nothing will happen again. I was wrong
- Last monday, my accounts got hacked again. I was able to reset Gmail by requesting a password that was sent to my school email. With my Gmail back, I could get my facebook back too. So I changed the passwords again to even harder ones.
- Between last weekend to today, my account got hacked THREE more times. I was able to retrieve it every time because they did not change the account email. But on the 5th (in total) and final time, they changed the associated email so I got my Gmail back, but not Facebook.
- While I had my account back, I talked to two friends on facebook chat. But afterwards after speaking to them in person, neither of them recall these conversations and they all had alibis that they were doing something else at the time, so apparently I was talking to the hacker who was pretending to be them. Their accounts ALSO got hacked when they checked.
- It seems like the person can gain access to my accounts at will, the difficulty level of passwords does not stop them.

Other info:
- my passwords has always been a mixture of numbers, letters, and cap locks
- I never logged in any "phishing" websites - I'm well aware of what they are and I always look out for them
- I did a full scan of my computer already, besides its probably not something on my computer because my friends who never logged on using my computer also got hacked.
- Comp Sci friends convinced me that its impossible to "hack" those sites
- I did not write down my passwords anywhere. I use laptop over university res net
- The purpose of the hacker(s) were not clear. Nothing devastating has happened to my facebook Yet.

Has anyone even heard of something similar to this happening? It feels like someone is out to get me. What should I do? How can I prevent this from happening again? Any thoughts?

That's far from impossiable. It's pretty easy to break into someones webmail account with only a little info about them. For example put in someones's e-mail into yahoo and click forgot password and it's likely to just ask you your zip, birthday and one of your secret questions to change the password. Any friend would likely be able to answear all thoses questions if you answeared them honestly. Same goes for other webmail accounts. If you have a keylogger with rootkit most AntiMalware or Antivirus programs wont' detect it. Try using a rootkitt dectecting program to be sure it don't. That's just the easy ways not counting packet sniffing, etc.

Okay, thanks for your reply but I only understood the first half of it.. No I didn't use yahoo email, and there are no such password resetting options for hotmail & gmail. I always put a trick into my secret answers so even if they knew the actual answer to my questions they wouldn't be able to answer it.
Now, what is "keylogger with rootkit"? "rootkit detecting program"? "packet sniffing"? i've heard of them but any specific recommendations to download? im scanning with malwarebytes as of now

If you really want to get rid of all those problems without the pain of using rootkits, etc. Deep format your HDD, and reinstall your OS.

Uh.. Im not sure what HDD is, but i'm assuming you mean to reinstall everything on my computer?
Is there are less drastic way, I've got a lot of stuff on my computer.. :(
