A friend of a friend asked me if i could make him a pc which he could do a bit of gaming on and as always it seems on the cheap (i would love somebody to ask me to build the best pc possible, money no object).

CPU: E3200 35 euros

Cooler: SCYTHE Katana 3 15 euros

MOBO: ASUS P5KPL-AM SE 35 euros

GPU: second hand 8800gt 45 euros

RAM: HyperX KHX6400D2/2G 42 euros

HDD: Seagate 250Gb 30 euros

CASE: S.Torre POWER Negra 420W 25 euros

DVD: DVD±RW 22X LG GH22NS sATA 15 euros

Mouse/Keyboard: Standard 15 euros

I think this is a mint pc for the money. My pc is way over double the cost for a 3dmark06 score of 18500, but not double the performance.

Nice, especially if the user is happy with it. I'd be wary using a budget 420w PSU with an Oc'd 8800GT though, that's just begging for trouble.
