Impulse buy.. any good?

I purchased a Zalman CNPS9500 LED CPU Cooler on impulse... I'm a horrible shopper, is it any good?

actually I just got whatever was on discount and looked mighty good . quite frankly I have no idea what this fan does, just that it must be good being 50 dollars, just wanted to know if it's worth the money or not, since i've never purchased a fan before

It's actually one of the best HSFs available. You put on your CPU to keep it cool and prevent it from melting...

I was kinda exaggerating there...but it may be possible. I've never looked for the answer to that question.

They can overheat severely and on some rare occasions can even damage externally.

yeah, that was pretty stupid, "quite frankly I have no idea what this fan does" gives it away.but it is definately a good buy, thats a good cooler. im about to buy the same thing, and you may have just saved me about $13.

by "I have no idea what it does" I ment that I didnt know the specs and such. I knew it was a CPU fan but didnt know what was good about it or even if I just wasted 50 bucks.

I have that cooler, and it is great. It won't probably fit, however, on your Pentium III

It fits in mine The only way to be sure is to measure.

yeah, a problem im worried about is if its gonna hit the psu. if i have to i can take the psu to a grinder...
