In dire need of drivers!

Can anyone help me find drivers for my Acer Aspire 1500 laptop? I have windows xp home edition 32x. With service pack 2 Version 2002. In the system properties it says AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile if that helps any. Iv been searching for days and I cant find so much as a sound driver that will work. I just reformatted it and I really need it in working order for school. So if anyone could help it would be HIGHLY appreciated! Thank you so much!

Did you even look at the Acer support page? All the drivers you need are right here.

Since there are two wireless cards listed, I'll make it easy and tell you to download the Atheros one, as that's most likely your card.

But for some reason it will not let me install the drivers. i dont understand whats going on. for example. everytime i try to run the setup for the audio driver it says Chipset Not Found In This System! and i havnt installed any hardware on this computer, everything thats in it is what came with it

Can you update it to SP3 first?

I dont think that I can. I dont have a SP3 copy of windows. Only sp2. Im trying everything I can possibly try to get these drivers to work and im having no luck.

If you have a usb flash drive or a way to burn it to a cd you can download it from here and install it on the system.

They might, not guaranteed though. Some software will only install if SP3 is installed. If not, you definately have windows issue. Maybe a bad install cd or faulty memory perhaps.
