In Home Network

What is the best/strongest internet for an in-home network? There are ethernet plugs in all of the rooms connected to a main router. What ISP would be the fastest without having to spend the money on a T1/T3 line?

Note: I cannot currently get cable internet because the neighborhood is not finished developing. AT&T and satellite are available. I'm not sure if there are others.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
 
Either wait for cable or you will need to get the fastest dsl available as satellite internet is terrible.
 
Any suggestions as to which provider might be the fastest and offer the most bandwidth? I've searched using Google and checked various sites but I'd rather hear it from a customer than from the business itself.
 
I'm not from our area so don't know whats offered. Usually your land line provider has dsl. It also comes down to the exact area your are in as to what is available, not just a city as Birmingham is quite huge.
