Hello I am a student and pretty new to the DBMS. My teacher has assigned us project in which I believe he knows nothing about because he gives me a runaround with every question I ask.
He has assigned a project in which I need to create an online shop using a database. I have no idea what DBMS to use. I know I would like to use Visual Studio 2008 or 2010. Having that said I need to find a database that I can connect to. I know of a few that I can use but here is the problem. I have a partner and I do not want a local server installed because to my knowledge he would not be able to access the db unless he is on my computer. So I need an online server (sorry for not knowing the terminology) so that we both can access the data remotely. Please if anyone can give me some guidance on what to use, I would greatly appreciate it.
