Situation: Laptop boots, doesn't run programs. Windows corrupt? So, I bought a 2.5" HDD case to hopefully transfer the data I want before formatting, but my personal profile is inaccessible. However, the "all users" and "administrator" profiles are accesible. This 60 gigabyte harddrive is 66% full, and half of the folders don't have files, or are inaccesible. There are some files I can see and transfer. I think it has something to do with my profile being password protected. Is there a way to make my profile folder accesible? Oh, I also did a McAfee scan on the HDD, it deleted some bad spyware programs, and scanned every file, the supposedly inaccesible or just plain not showing up on the HDD, A-Z (yes I watched). Ideas?

So, in short, your profile isn't working but the other profiles are working.

You can get in the other profile and access the other profile's files, but not your profile specifically?

Or am I totally missing the concept?

Yup, that's the problem. Also, last night I tried to copy the whole hard drive, ran into a file that was inaccessible. (fyi)

Have you tried rebooting in safe mode are restoring it to a prior time if it occured recently? My thoughts are that when you made it, you didn't allow other users to view them, rendering them unavailable for the other profiles.
