Inaccurate CPU temp?

Asus A8N-Sli MoBo with a AMD +3500, and a Silencer Ultra 64 TC heatsink. My MoBo is displaying between 44C (idle) and up to 52C under full load for short periods of time. Funny thing is, it is about the same temp OC'ed from 2.2 to 2.4, if not a little lower.

Now I have read a few other product reviews of people with similar, if not identical set ups, running much lower, in the mid 30s. Also I have read that the MoBo is not really accurate, as far as an actually temp, but good enough to compare one setting to another. What's a good way to get an actual temp reading?

2.2 to 2.4 isnt a earth shattering heat-difference. As for the accruacy of the A8N there I dont know, dont have one

Temperature probe :)

Is this mobo or CPU?
How to OC the mobo from 2.2 to 2.4??

CPU ocing shouldn't really affect the mobo...
Other than heating up the northbridge and sourthbridge of course.....

Anyway, it is at 44C idle and after playing HL2 it can be up around 60C, so I was just wondering if this is bad, and something that should be looked into. I read that 65C is getting critical so I was halfworried. It doesn't hang or anything so I guess it's all right.

my cpu is around 115F-120F idle and around 130F-148F after playing a game (HL2, CS:S, farcry, ect). So i dont know if that temp is too high, and i oc'd my 3.0 to a 3.2 and the idle temp only went up about 1-2F.
