Increase in resolution with a better GPU?

I have dual monitors. One is actually a 32" 720P TV/Monitor the other is an HD HP 21". Screen resolution on the primary (32") is 1360 x 768, by default so it the other monitor. I could go 1600 x 900 but it takes away too much screen space. WOuld I be able to get a higher resolution while maximizing screen area with a better GPU? I am currently using an MSi GeForce 210.

I don't know if I understand this right but you will not get a better resolution than what is possible on the monitors by getting a better GPU. The 210 should be able to display the dual monitors at full resolution of those monitors just fine

if the monitor has a max resolution, you cannot exceed it by changing the graphics card, you will need a different display.

It is kinda like this: Let's say you have a bowl and can fit 720 pieces of candy in it max.

I give you a bag of candy that has 1080 pieces in it.

You can still only fit 720 pieces in your bowl no matter how many you have in your bag.

So.. The new card will give you the ability to play in 1080, but without the proper display you are maxed at your screen resolutions.
