Hey all,

How can i increase my upload speed without buying a better internet connection?

My download speeds are fine but my Upload is terrible.

But one strange thing ive noticed it that when im running Ubuntu Linux images upload to Photobucket really fast

i know its wierd :D

Nope; your ISP has you capped :P

yeah thats what i thought,But its rediculas because it takes like 3-5 minuites to upload just one single image to photobucket and its so damn slow.

and im paying £18 - $37USD a month for this.

i might wait until my contract is up and switch to another ISP.

My download speed isnt that bad and i dont lag in multiplayer games so at least thats one good thing :D

whay do they do that? limit your upload speed? i thought it was all about the download speed?

you have a download and an upload speed... like i have 8Mb d/l and 300Kb u/l

and Nevakonaza, what ISP are you with? and what speed do you have?
oh, and how large are the images youre trying to upload?

Im with Telewest...which is Virgin media now right?

heres my speed

the images i try to upload are usualy around 637kb...1024x768

Slow connection right?

That's just to the test server not to his ISP :P

If I test my conenction to dublin (~1 billion miles... ok 3500 or something :P) I get almost the same speeds, which makes sense, but latency is higher, which also makes sense.

How long does it take to upload those images? By your tested speed it shouldn't take very long.

Ya, I checked it myself :). That would be interesting if someone's ISP was 100 miles away, though.
