Increasing RAM will help??

Hi,
I have a HP Z400 and a Z600 workstation. These workstations are upgradeable to 24GB of RAM.

Does increasing the RAM will make the computer faster??? I run multiple applications . More importantly I test 10 cellphones connected to each of these computers and do various tests using scripts.

Any anyone please answer.

I have 4 GB on Z400 and 6 GB on Z600 as of now
Both are Xeon(R) processor --2.53 GHz

for multitasking this isn't a good comp., more cores is what you need, as more cores is like more people, 1 person doing 20 things sin't fast, but 2 people doing 10 or 4 people doing 5 will go way faster.

He has Intel Xeon processors, which are server CPUs. They're some of the fastest out there.

I would say get 8GB on each, and that should be enough. You'll see a slight improvement in this.

yes, i know the xeon is a great cpu, but it is still a single core trying to run 10 cellphone configurations at the same time as he stated, doesn't matter what it is since its not exactly made for multitasking.
