information about operating system needed

can anyone help me with comparing windows, unix and mac operating system in terms of ease of use, stability, iterfaces and compatibility. if you were to buy a pc which one would you install in you machine and why?:confused: :confused:

I like windows xp it has not crashed on me yet, but its way to easy to get viruses and spyware if your not protected, linux I hear is great for not getting viruses and spyware but I dont know a whole lot about it, such as drivers and if you can run programs made for windows with it and there are alot of programs and games for windows so I will just stick with xp thank you!

PS: I would never buy a mac!
