Ink Jet Printer Cartridges

After printing out almost 50 pages of wasted nozzle cleaning ink on my Lexmark, I've come to the conclusion that remanufacted cartridges are...well, awful. And these weren't a hell of a lot cheaper than the original ones either.

How can we be expected to 'save the earth' and buy these things when they don't even give good results...not even decent. Something should be done.

Just needed to have a rant about it :)

Anybody else had experiences with recycled cartridges? What are your results like?

I have tried remanufactured cartridges and have had problems with them. So I went around trying different companies which offer compatible ink at a discounted price. After one company's product didn’t work they told me that I had received a "bad batch", so I tried another company .... I ended up using, and still use a company called meritline with G&G ink cartridges that are compatible with my Canon Printer.

Remanufactured cartridges and "third-party" compatible ink do not always work. Do not give up on cheaper ink. Try another company!

Unfortunatly i'm in the UK. Had a look at meritline's UK site though, but they didn't have any Lexmark inks. Perhaps i'll take a better look round.

I'm thinking about disposing of this Lexmark anyhow. Its cartridges appear to be the most expensive out of all the brands (which I wasn't aware at the time of buying but the printer was cheap!)

Cheers

Kinda funny how things work... Cheap printer, most expensive ink.

Well.. ALL of the name brand ink is expensive, so before you buy another printer, make sure you check out the cost of ink! All I can do is vouch for meritline's ink working with Cannon printers.

It might be worth going back to Epson. Had pretty good success with them until my last printer died. Oh well, thanks for the input.
