inlet n exust or just exust fans?

hi i have my pc case set up as i have a 120mm exust fan at rear and a side clear panel 80mm fan exust fan. would it be beter to have the side 80mm as a inlet fan and keep the 120mm exust fan ???

120mm = intake, 80mm = exhaust. you want more air flowing in than out, cooler temps and less dust. at least it should be.
 
So having more air flow in than flowing out allows less dust to get into the case? Seems like it should be the other way around. I never liked the idea of intake in the back of the computer unless you pull out your computer desk and vaccuum back there every week, dust acculates back there so it would seem to me that that would pull more dust in.
IMO if your cpu fan is blowing onto the CPU (which most stock fans are) then you should have the side fan blowing in so that cool, cleaner outside the case air is flowing right across your CPU then exhausting out the back of the computer. It seems logical and yes I know sometimes airflow and temps in cases don't always work best the way it seems.

Keep the 120 back fan as exhaust. If the side fan is in the middle or lower, set it as a intake.

hi i have keeped the 120mm as exust and put the 80mm side case fan from exust and now to inlet and have had a 3c drop in temps :-) my amd ii x4 635 is now idle at 32/33c even o.c my cpu from 2.9 to 3.31 ghz the temps are the same maybe 1 or 2 c higher idle so im happy about that thanks strangehold!!!

Woops, seems i didn't read properly. anyway, Do you have anywhere on the front of your case where you can mount a fan? if you do i would put the 120mm one there, and use the 80mm as a rear exhaust.

As for more air going in than out, its positive air pressure, so it won't have to compensate by sucking in extra air through cracks in your case, inevitably bringing dust.

hi linkin no i dont :( i already looked to see if der was anywere to put the fan at the front so just have to stick to the side middle inlet

dremel = hole :)

Mark out a section for the fan, hell, tape the fan on there and draw around the centre + the screw holes. Dremel out a hole, sand it down to make it look nice. You have yoursef a front fan spot :)
