Inspiron 1300 heat issue

I recently purchased an inspiron 1300 from dell, ya ya i know its not very good but i'm just browsing the web with it. Anyway the intake fan on the bottom turn on and off about 2 times a minute, over and over and over and over again. I was wondering if there was anyway to make it stay on perminately as that would be less annoying. I've already tried speed fan, and i've looked in the bios. any suggestions?

Try this program. It's worked on basically every Dell laptop I've tried it on.

arent these laptops known 4 overheating? i know, either the Inspiron 5150, or 5000 is.

not that i know of, i'm not trying to make the fan stay on not because it's overheating but because the computer by default doesn't let the temp go high enough before it turns on the fan so it turns it on and off over and over and over again. I just wanted to make it stay on that way i don't have to listen to that, it gets really annoying after a while

oooooo ok lol, i got you, yeahh, i know what your saying my laptops do the same, does get kind of annoying, but im leaving it alone, did that program that The_Other_One listed work?

ya it worked, you can actually customize really well with it.
