G'day. 1st time user. I have a new system which had Win 7 RC loaded. Tried to install Win 7 Home premium 64 bit without success. I installed Win 7 Home premium 32 bit no problem. I would still like to install the 64 bit version. I cannot get the system to boot from the 64 bit DVD that comes separately from the 32 bit DVD. My system has a Gigabyte EX58-UD4P motherboard with Intel Core i7 920 CPU, 6GB DDR3/1600 RAM. The C: drive WD 300GB 10,000RPM HDD. 2 x WD SATAII 1500gb 32MB HDD. nVIDIA GTS250 1GBDDR3 Graphics Card. The system has no software installed other than the Operating System. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Dunno if this is a common issue, or whether an issue at all, but darn I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 64Bit version and it says 32bit display at dxdiag...what gives? (My specs are at signature)

You need to go into the bios and change the boot order to boot from cdrom first.

Thanks john35
I have the following options at start-up
F12 - Boot Menu
Select a boot first device
Floppy
LS120
+Hard Disk
CD ROM
ZIP.....etc

I am unable to get anything on this page to function including getting out of the page.
I have to turn the computer off at the "on/off botton" to turn the computer off.

Pressing "delete" gets me into the BIOS setup.
List reads:
> Hard disk boot priority [press enter]
First Boot Device [CD ROM]
Second boot device [Floppy]
Third Boot Device [Hard Disk]

System will not boot from 64 bit DVD

Either you have a bad disk or bad cdrom. Are sure you have a dvd drive? Maybe you only have a drive that reads cd's?
