Install windows update

Should i install windows update after i have restored my computer to factory setting? I bought this PC in 2011, Does it mean my windows is up to date till 2011 if i did the restore to factory setting?

Yeah you'll want to do all the updates. It'll probably have you restored to one of the earliest versions of Windows. Windows 7 got a lot faster with newer updates, noticeably so if you go from a fresh install to fully updated.

Sorry for late reply, do i just go to control panel ----System security--Window update and just install whatever it recommended important update??

You should have the option for windows update in the start menu. Yes install all updates available to you. I'm assuming its windows 7 with service pack 1? If its the original version of 7 without the service pack then install service pack 1 before doing any windows updates. Get sp1 from here.
