Installation issue. . . XP

I have an ASUS Eee PC 1005HA. I had issues with the installation of Windows XP, and decided to give UBUNTU a shot. However, I accidentally over-wrote the entire partition, and now I can't get the netbook to install XP from a USB drive. I was using WinToFlash, and it just didn't seem to work. Am I overlooking a BIOS option, or what? I really don't like Ubuntu, and want a fresh install of XP Home. Sorry this is so haphazard, I just got out of class.
 
You may have lost your recovery partition to reinstall XP. You most likely will need to contact asus for recovery cd's.

You can try attaching the hard drive to another computer and go into disc management and see if it still lists a recovery partition most likely less then 20gb and could be labeled as either recovery or eisa partition.
 
How come it won't accept XP, but it installs a trial of Windows 7 fine? I mean, I wish I had a legit key, I'd just keep it this way.
 
XP doesn't have ahci support built in, you would need to slipstream the sata driver into a new install cd. Windows 7 has better support for that. When you try to install XP, it should come with "no hard drive found" error message.
