I was given a Lenovo all in one running windows 7 that belonged to an individual that went into assisted living. I promised to wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows. I think it originally had 64 bit Win 7 as the Lenovo info on the model describes it as such. I foolishly did not note the version and used a 32 bit image from Microsoft to reload the Lenovo. I ended up having to call MS to reactivate using the key on the machine sticker.
The activation was successful. Now I realize I should have used a 64 bit image. Several programs I want to use require the 64 bit OS.
Can I reinstall again, using the 64 bit image and get Microsoft to activate with the machine key?
