I installed my dvd burner from Newegg today and everything says it's working properly, but the drive wont read or write...the light flashes like it's going to work but nothing!? :confused:
 
I assume it can read disks? Try other software, or even another computer if you can... Mine worked without a hitch, so I'm wondering if you have a faulty drive...

Have you tried exploring the contents of the drive. Maybe autorun is disabled.
