Installers dont "install"

I downloaded "Avg Tuneup" and "Jdownloader webinstaller" from the internet, got them into a CD, and took them from the cd onto another computer at work(which didnt had any anti virus or maleware - which i did manage to install). While Avg and Malewarebytes had retained thier deskptop logos, the "webinstaller"(jdownloader) and "avg_tuh_stf_all_2013_2_24c5" (avg tuneup)" had those white boxes with blue bars on top and three dots on the upper right side as logos(like a miniature windows window with nothing in it). When i tried clicking on those, a black CMD window quickly appeared as it vanished.

What do i do?

Don't even bother installing avg tuneup, its a waste. Not sure what your issue is though. Just trying to save you some headache with not installing avg.

You don't need any "tuneup" program installed on your system. Download and run Ccleaner once a week and thats about it. But don't run the registry cleaner. These tuneup programs cause more harm then good.

Whats wrong with using the registry repair in CCleaner? Could you elaborate on why tuneup programs are so bad? Would really appreciate it :)

Any registry cleaner is bad for your system. Everything in your system basically runs from data in the registry. If for some reason that data gets corrupted or screwed up then you may be forced to do a reinstall of windows. Besides, you won't get hardly any performance increase from cleaning the registry.

Tune up programs are the same as registry cleaners. They can do the same damage to your system and are not needed.

So the whole "clean registry it will increase your preformance, clean your computer, and save your soul and give you a eternal hapiness and a VIP spot in heaven and a burger" is just a bogus crap designed to make us download useless shitty expensive adware-malware-spyware loaded softwares that do 0% good?

I thought CCleaner was a trustworthy program. Why should it implement a "bad option" like registery cleaning?
