Is it going to be hard installing my new card (GeForce 7600GT) in a Pavilion that has an integrated card (Xpress 200)? (software, not hardware) I heard that it could confuse the computer and it won't know what to use and I'll be stuck with a black screen. Anyone done this before (I'm sure some of you have)...

you will have to disable your integrated card in your BIOS... but other than that, it shouldn't be that hard...

So just disable it then uninstall the Catalyst software? I think that stuff makes my computer freeze every now and then too... At least I hope it's that that does it. I don't know what else could make my computer freeze up, I don't have many progs running....

not exactly... as all computers are different... i would wait for a few other opinions...

uninstall Catalyst and disable the onboard card, then install the 7600 and install the new nVidia.com drivers

cool, now once I disable the on-board through the bios and install the new one, will I be able to see Windows boot then install the driver(s)? Am I going to do something in the bios to make it see the new card once it's in the PCIe slot?
