W wally222 New Member Jan 11, 2007 #1 I just put in a new IDE 80GB hard drive into my Dell computer to replace an old one. I popped in the Windows 2000 Pro disc, formatted the hard drive and installed Windows, but when I go to boot up, it says that no IDE drive is installed...thoughts?

ghost Active Member Jan 11, 2007 #7 Yeah Just put your HDD on MASTER and plug one on the IDE cables into the HDD and the other on the IDE1 mobo connector and that should be ok.
