Im not figuring this out. Granddaughter has some kid game (hardware) plugs into the usb and install. (Matel Funkey) i think. she has limited acc settings.
when i installed i used explore and run as so i could install. after the installation she runs the game but can not get the updates. Im guessing its because she does not have admin rights. How can i fix this so it takes the updates with her limited account?

thanks

Does it require updates all the time? If not, just temporarily change her account to administrator, update the software and then change it back to limited.

thats the way i did it. BUT, she has other hardware dolls or what ever she plugs into the hardware then updates the hardware again for each new animal or what ever they are. one looks like a rabbit another looks like rooster. then updates or gets the profile from the internet. right now she has admin rights. i need to fix this problem.
thanks

to say again i want this proggy with limited account setting to update this this profile only or installation. she is getting to much savy. i do not like her using google. she knows how. How many kids want to watch and learn how to install and low level format a hd at 9 yrs old. mine does.
please...........
thanks

If you make the account limited, usually you can check options such as read/write data, installing programs, admin rights and so on. you could also make an admin account with limited access. I do this for my sisters when they want to install games. Also make sure that your anti virus is letting the program update.

hope this helps

EDIT: you may want to invest in internet nanny software. this lets parents control which accounts can go to which sites, and which days and what times they can access the internet.

Ok..........thanks. i will check that out.
I also think i will invest in this netnanny program. it will make us feel better.

just give permission to read/write on the C: drive or wherever os or program files are located.

EDIT: Wise move on the netnanny software.
