Can anyone tell me how to install the original Command and Conquer and Command and Conquer Red Alert on Windows XP? Or is it even possible? Whenever I try it finishes installing, but when I try to open it it gives me an error about some file missing(Ive forgotten what it said exactly)

Right click on the .exe, Click on the Compatibility tab, and make sure the "Run this program in compatibility mode" check box is selected, and that Windows 95 appears in the drop down down box.

I have played C&C and Red Alert many times under WinXP, can you just post the name of the missing file and where it should be placed on your hard drive or you can simply search for this file in Google and you will find it, get it and supposed that the game will work normally.

Ok, I downloaded the patches but I havent gotten around to installing the game yet. Ill get back to you on how it goes.

Well this is odd, now I cant even get the game to install. When I click the install button on the autoplay menu I get this error:

Ok, The original C&C installed fine and works fine. When I tried to install Red Alert, though, I got this:
