Installing HD3870

Hey guys, Im getting ready for the 25th to install my card but I have a small question. What is Catalyst for? Should I just install the ati video driver which is like 17MB or install the whole Catalyst Suite + Driver 45MB??

And Im not overclocking.

I always install both. With the Catalyst control center you can overclock the card, check the temperature, as well as change the texture/graphics quality, AA, AF, monitor configurations, etc.
 
Allright thanks, I'll install it. Im always trying to keep everything as little amounts as possible so I thought of installing only the driver but I guess I'll install Catalyst this time.
 
No no, it is not a hard-drive problem Im just like that ;) I like to keep everything simple... :D

BTW its a 120GB HDD
 
I always run CCC graphic settings at default, sometimes it makes things looks worse so i leave it to "use game settings" or whatever it says.. and use RivaTuner for temps and OC, but ccc does say temps.

When you go to install, go to your device manager and right click your 7600GT and click "uninstall" when it prompts to restart click "no" then shut down, install the 3870, start and install the new drivers.. btw the 7.12 drivers are out :D
