Installing Microsoft Outlook CRM Plug-In

By any chance, has anyone used CRM before? How do you know if an Outlook CRM Plug-In is compatible with the current Office version that is already installed on the machine?

I'd assume the plugin would have a supported office version mentioned somewhere.
