Hi my new Radeon X1650PRO (pci x16) is about to arrive via UPS soon, upgrading from my current integrated nvidia graphics. I was wondering what I should do about the drivers. Last time when i upgraded from a 9200 to a 9550 i just switched the cards and installed new drivers and had major problems with it. So should i delete the old drivers before inserting the card? (if thats possible). then insert the card and dl the newest ati drivers? or will just inserting the card and installing new drivers overwrite the old ones? ty for reading this any help appreciated :)

Yes uninstall the current drivers, in this case you nvidia ones...Then plug your card in, and your monitor into it. Then install your new drivers.

As Int3l said, remove all nVidia video card drivers and apps from the Add/Remove programs menu, then remove the drivers by going to the device manager, right clicking on the video card, and click uninstall.

Then reboot, switch cards, and install ATI's drivers.
