What do I need to do...?

I have been using integrated graphics up 'til now. I have got a ATI Radeon VE 64mb card... Should I just put it in, connect monitor to it and turn it on..? Or what..? I have never installed new hardware on Linux before.

Thanks, Doug.

It should detect it automatically when it boots up. It should tell you that and then there will be come box that comes up and it will let you select the brand and everything and then it should install the correct drivers.

Got a bit impatient yesterday and did it before you replied.... It did everything totally
automatically, just took a minute longer to boot. Cheers for your input though guys! Doug.

And everyone acts like linux is so had to use. :p

Generally Ubuntu will be able to set up your hardware for you, if it can't it's generally not too hard to download a package and do it manually.
