Being hearing impaired toll free technical support phone numbers do me no good. PNY dosen't seem to have an email contact address that I can find. I thought perhaps someone reading this forum could help. I have a DELL Inspiron 2200 notebook just a couple of weeks old. I purchased a PNY Optima 512MB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Notebook Memory Model N512D27OPT - Retail from newegg. I followed the install instructions (I have install RAM several time before for myself, friends and family). When I booted up the screen showing the Dell logo, Intel logo and progress bar it has numerious horizontal lines that give a very distorted screen and there is no progress being done on the bar. Ideas please? Thanks, Craig

in pushing on the ram did u maybe bump something else loose and only making a partial conenection e.g. the screen connection to the computer? or anything you could have bumped?

After seeing the problem I removed the RAM and the computer booted and operated just fine. Reinstalling it caused the same problem. There is nothing to bump, there is only enough access to install one strip.
