Installing older programs on new system

I have a few older software programs that install from 3-1/2 inch disks. My new system has no such 3-1/2 interface. Anyone faced this problem and found a way to get the older programs installed? could the files be copied from a 3-1/2 disk to a CD-ROM and be installed?

Your case should have a 3.5" bay of some description for a floppy drive. Yes you can transfer the files to a CD if you wish, but in order to do that you still need a floppy drive. They are really cheap these days. Something like this.
