installing os on a ssd

I have attempted to install win 8 then win 7 on my ssd each time i do the process freezes between 40 and 80 per cent, has any one had any issues with this before? Or is there a solution both are retail
 
Have you also tried formatting the drive before trying to install Windows a second time?

  1. Remove all non-essential hardware and try again. (i.e. all USB (except for keyboard and mouse), 1 stick of RAM)
  2. remove OC
  3. default BIOS
  4. ensure ACHI and boot priority is correct

When installing, all partitions on the SSD and don't create a new one, just click next and let windows work it out.
