It isnt illegal I don't think. Only if you download an illegal version. However, the forum is against it.

I am curious, what exactly does Windows have in the OS itself, or via Microsoft add on software that OS X doesn't?

Easily accessible customization is what jumps out at me. I'm not taking sides or anything, just pointing out what I've noticed using both side by side on my computer. On a side note, Yeah imac G4 coming my way *does dance*

They are easily as customizable, even down to the third party themes. However, instead of editing a registry you have to edit XML formatted property lists, and Unix config files. The difference is, you don't know that as well as you do Windows.

It is a false perception that Windows is more customizable.

We generally discourage threads that discuss the workaround or methods involved with violating software/hardware EULAs, TOS', etc..., so I'm gonna close this up. Soon, we'll provide a more descriptive writeup of our policies in these areas. In the meantime, as tlarkin pointed out, use google or your preferred internet search engine to figure it out. In this day and age, you really don't need to go to an internet forum for this type of advice.

:)
