installing program without uninstall it

Hi,

I just wanna know a little thing. I have isntalled a program the other days and in personallize I have uncheck one thing that I needed, so I re-downloaded the program and installing again with all I needed. But by doing this I didnt uninstalled the program first. So by doing what I did the second install at same place of the same program is it just a overwritten? I have no error or any other things with the program, all I wanna know if that is just a overwritten?

Yes, if you reinstall a program, old files are just over written with the new ones. There aren't two copies of the program on your computer.
 
Well, there could be two copies if you chose to install to two different locations. However, that is really unlikely as it doesn't sound like you manually chose custom locations over the default location. (You would have to do it on purpose, it wouldn't happen by accident.)
