Installing RAM of increased Memory Speed

Is it possible to replace a RAM stick of 1 gb SO DIMM 204-pins at 1066MHz with a RAM stick of 4gb SO DIMM 204-pin at 1333MHz in a Asus Aspire 5742G

its unlikely that a laptop with a 1 gb module will accept a module of 4gb. but the maximum ram your laptop will take depends on the motherboard.
