Installing to SSD

I just bought a 480gb OCZ SSD. I unplugged my HDD that has my OS on it, and plugged the SSD in. I did a fresh install of windows 8. It installed, and then just sits a black screen and does not progress. I can move my cursor on the screen and nothing else. I restarted my pc after five minutes, and booted off the SSD, and it just sat at this screen. I then rebooted again except off the windows disc, and it wanted me to re install. I do, starting fresh again, and it does the same thing. What should I do?

I would suggest installing to a blank regular hdd to see if it works correctly. If it does then you can assume there is an issue with the SSD.

I don't really have a hard drive that doesn't have anything on it that i can easily test that on, but I can almost guarantee that it would work. I guess I'm thinking there is either something wrong with the settings or it's DOA. I would think that if it is DOA that it wouldn't get that far into install, and that I wouldn't be able to see it under disk management or in my computer. I can open up files that are on it like Program Data and Users from the install, so obviously it is writing to it, I just don't know if I need to return it or figure it out more. I'm in Korea so it is a pain to return things. I would hate to get a replacement and have it do the same thing, because it would take about a month to get a new one here.

I also did update the firmware and same results.

Still say this is a sdd issue. Not much to do if you don't have a blank drive to test.
